One preference across tabs
The switch in the status bar saves your choice in this browser and shares it across tabs. SOL is the default. USD mode reads a SOL price while the page is visible, about once a minute. It keeps the last good price if a refresh fails.
Switching units does not exchange money. USD figures can move when SOL moves even if your SOL amount stays the same. Percent returns keep the same basis.
